Build Test Engineer |

Polyarc is seeking a candidate with a passion and expertise in validating and testing game systems. From authoring automated testing and reporting tools to improving build management and QA tools, helping ensure a quality gameplay experience for the player will be at the forefront of every decision you make. Responsibilities

  • Create automation tools used to measure and report performance of multiple VR titles.

  • One-off analysis with CPU and GPU profiling tools on PC and consoles.

  • Help identify bottlenecks in Unreal Engine Blueprints and C++ code.

  • Implement editor and standalone tools that help warn content creators of broken or inefficient content.

  • Support studio-wide development tools such as source control, build systems, and bug tracking solutions.

  • Contribute to a healthy, collaborative culture by seeking out, providing, and applying feedback.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional engineering experience, having shipped at least one product.

  • Experience writing web reporting tools using Python or Javascript or C#.

  • Experience writing automation tools that interface with Python, C++ or C#.

  • Experience taking features from concept to delivery to maintenance.

Pluses

  • Experience with simple database administration.

  • Experience with AWS and Linux.

  • Experience in Unreal Engine 4 automation tools.
