Senior Environment Artist |
Polyarc is searching for a highly talented developer with expertise in environment art to bridge the gap between aesthetics and innovation. At Polyarc you will work with other highly talented game developers at the leading edge of immersive entertainment. Your focus is to create stunning environments that transport our players to other worlds, including terrain and environment model creation, as well as texture and material work. As a developer at Polyarc, you will also be expected to contribute positively to our core values of collaboration, mentorship, initiative, and creative expression.

Design, mass out, and finish in-game environments at the highest level
Build beautiful environments with or without the aid of detailed concept art
Maintain the artistic vision while working within design and technical performance constraints
Collaborate with the team to improve current workflows and prototype future technologies
Transcend the environment art specialty to engage in other areas of game production
An active, passionate interest in all aspects of game creation
Excellent collaborator with a willingness to provide and accept player-focused feedback and solutions
Strong understanding and openness to new tools, workflows, and industry progress
Ideally, 5+ years of professional experience, preferably within, but not limited to game development
Experience with industry-standard packages (Maya or 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop)
Knowledge of procedural painting programs such as Substance Designer and Substance Painter
Experience in Unreal Engine 4 asset creation, VFX, and physically based rendered materials
