Creative Services Director

Polyarc is looking for a Creative Services Director to lead the visual brand identity of our titles and studio across trailers, campaigns, key art, social media, and more.

This is a hands-on role with strategic oversight—perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, has a keen eye for emotionally resonant design, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, and Development teams to concept and produce polished, impactful assets.

You’ll own the artistic identity from brief to delivery, ensuring every asset is not only visually compelling but also aligned with each product’s tone, positioning, and marketing goals. You’ll guide internal and external contributors and help build scalable systems that maintain brand consistency across all player-facing content.

As this is a new role at Polyarc, we’re looking for someone excited to build—someone who can shape creative workflows, manage pipelines, and develop efficient, repeatable processes for high-quality, story-driven design.

If you’re passionate about storytelling through visual design and ready to shape how players experience our worlds, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the visual identity for each title and for the studio—from logo design and motion treatments to campaign artwork, typography systems, and style guides.
  • Establish the artistic strategy for marketing content, ensuring consistency across trailers, key art, store assets, social media, merchandise, and more.
  • Translate creative briefs into high-impact key art, building assets from initial concept through execution to final delivery.
  • Concept and produce a wide range of marketing assets—including trailers, web graphics, social visuals, merchandise, and internal branding—hands-on and in collaboration with external partners.
  • Enhance visuals through illustration, paintovers, or motion treatments to ensure polish and brand authenticity.
  • Source, direct, and manage external creatives, including freelancers, agencies, and vendors—balancing budgets while maximizing creative output and quality.
  • Design and maintain scalable workflows, pipelines, and adaptable templates that support consistent, high-quality asset production across multiple teams and projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Development teams to align creative strategies and execution with campaign goals and product positioning.
  • Partner with Marketing to unblock ad-hoc campaign initiatives by supporting opportunistic content requests, sprint-based marketing needs, and asset testing scenarios.
  • Prepare and package final assets for delivery to vendors, storefronts, and platform teams, ensuring technical accuracy and visual fidelity.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading end-to-end creative production—from concept to final delivery—across games, entertainment, or fandom-driven IP, effectively planning asset development in alignment with GTM timelines and cross-functional milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute visual brand systems that drive engagement, support product positioning, and enhance marketing strategies across player-facing campaigns, GTM launches, and long-term franchise development.
  • Strong conceptual and execution skills, with a track record of turning loose or ambiguous creative briefs into emotionally resonant, high-impact visuals.
  • High proficiency in Photoshop, with working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, etc.), and a willingness to adopt new tools that elevate craft and streamline workflows.
  • Familiarity with scalable design systems, templates, and production workflows that support multi-platform content and vendor handoff.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator; comfortable working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Development teams, navigating feedback loops, resolving conflicts, and fostering creative alignment.
  • Strong foundational skills in composition, color, lighting, and branding systems—with an eye for polish, consistency, and creative cohesion.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality, brand alignment, and on-time delivery.

Pluses:

  • Illustration or concept art skills to supplement in-game visuals.
  • An expansive freelance or agency network.
  • Experience in video editing or motion graphics design.
  • Experience with 3D rendering and in-game captures.

We believe all the listed qualifications are important to the role. We’re also open to hearing from anyone who believes their unique experiences also qualify them for consideration. If that’s you, please apply!

Compensation:

    • USD: $166,000 to $187,000, with a total compensation target (cash + equity) of $208,000.
